Monkeypod bookcase

Here is an example of how you can utilize local Hawaii grown monkeypod wood into a large wall unit. This 11 feet wide bookcase can accommodate a lot of books or can be used as a display shelves.

There are 4 drawers below that can actually be pulled out completely. The owner of this unit wished for air circulation so the faces were made with wood slats.

This particular custom piece was finished with a natural oil finish to showcase the wood’s beautiful characteristics. It is very soft to the touch.

As you can see in some of the pictures, we also built a matching dining table.
